The Detachable Bed Collar is now available at the Kinkista shop
The idea of a stock bed in the bedroom is tempting: spontaneous play, no setup, no switching rooms—everything is there when the mood strikes. Lock in, settle back, and enjoy the moment. But in real life, it’s rarely that simple. A permanent, highly visible piece of kink furniture can feel awkward when friends visit, and it’s often impractical in shared or family living spaces.
That tension is what led a kinky couple to reach out to me. They were looking for a locking system that could attach securely to their bed, but also be installed and removed in just a few minutes. When I looked through photos of their bedroom, one detail immediately stood out—their bed had a metal frame with a sturdy pipe at the foot. That feature suggested a clean, reliable mounting point for a detachable design.

Based on their requirements and measurements, a working prototype came together quickly. The core of the design is a set of three pinch clamps that grip the pipe at the foot of the bed. Each is secured with two 3/8″ screws; installation is straightforward—wrap the clamp around the pipe and tighten the screws with an Allen key. No special tools or technical skills are needed, and the whole process takes under 3–5 minutes. Each clamp provides over 50 lb / 22 kg of clamping force, for a total of 150 lb / 66 kg.

For neck and wrist restraints, the first version followed a classic neck-and-wrist stock layout.

In use, though, the couple found that keeping the hands held apart didn’t match their preferred positioning, and relying on lifted elbows didn’t offer enough support during more active play.
The stock structure also made the device bulkier than they wanted, which worked against easy storage.

In the second iteration, the clamp was redesigned with a collar on top and a locking hole at the bottom.

The lockable collar holds the wearer in a fixed prone-bone posture, while the lower attachment point allows them to use their own handcuffs secured with a padlock.

This keeps the familiar neck-to-hands connection and the visual language of a classic submissive position, while supporting a wide range of kinky and sexual play.

Overall, the revised design is smaller, more flexible, and much easier to store—without compromising how it works or feels in use. The simplified version also reduces setup time to around 1–2 minutes, with only one pinch clamp to fasten or release.
